Merry Christmas/Next cycle on 3 Jan 2005

Dear All,

I trust that you had a very blessed and Christ-filled Christmas!

3 years ago, I started writting down blessings that I received each day in a notebook. Though I do not write everyday, I had written been fairly consistent in jotting down each blessing no matter how small it may be. By the end of each year, I would have so many things to thank God for. This year, one of the things I am thankful for is the experience of your genuine love and caring friendship in so many practical ways. Your gift of friendship is one of the most important things in my life. Thank you!

I also want to take this opportunity to bless you to enter 2005 with a greater desire into the deep things of God and a deeper hunger for His presence in your life.

To keep you posted, my next chemo and check up with Dr.William Hwang in SGH will be on 3 Jan 2005. This will be the 6th cycle and a bone marrow investigation will be done to see if there is any remission.

Please pray for me as the hiccups and experienced this last round was really terrible and extremely uncomfortable. It came every 3-4 seconds and lasted for 5 days. Usually it comes after the steriods are taken but becomes progressively worse after the 3 day of consumption. Also, the ache on my right thigh comes now and then due the bone disease. But thank God, there is no more pain like the one experienced upon my discharge from TTSHospital in Sept. I believe the Lord has healed the fractures completely. But, as much as I am focused on the Lord, there are times, especially in the night, when I feel weary and down, struggling to find strength to pull through all these physically. Therefore, I covet your prayers and will continue to "take heart and be strong" as I "wait upon the Lord". (Psm 27:13-14)

Struggling with hope in Jesus,

have a blessed new year,
david

5th Cycle of Chemotherapy on 13/12/2004

Dear friends,
thank you for logging in to get theupdates on my medical condition. And for standing by us in prayer support.

I saw Dr. William Hwang again on Mon, 13 Dec. The HB level is still good at 13 for my condition. He will do a bone marrow investigation to see if the condition is in remission. A autologos stem cell transplant(blood from my own marrow) has also been suggested before going for the Allogenic stem cell transplant(blood from a donor/sibling) will be collected through general anesthesia to be pumped into my body.It will require me to be hospitalied for at least 2 weeks in SGH.During this stay, I will be given the usual chemotherapy where the purpose is to destroy the cells before they collect the blood for the stem cell harvest harvest and transplant into my body later. Will explain that a little more later when I get hold of the more info and details to explain to you in a simplier form.

There are mamy concerns on my mind. Primarily, staying in hospital for 2 weeks will cause Whee Ling to bear all the responsibilties at home, especially when Josh goes to Kingdergarten1 in a new school in Holy Grace Church from 3 Jan as well. That will be a new adjustment for Josh too, apart from the logistical arragements in the morning when he seesion starts at 8am sharp and ends at 11am. We trust that God will grant us the wisdom to work it out.

My next checkup is on the 3Jan 2005. By then,we should have got all my 4 other siblings (Angie; Roger; May and Mike) to have their blood taken for matching for the Allogenric transplant later. Hopefully one of them matches; otherwise got to look beyond my immediate family amongst Asian communities.

Thanks to those of you who have come to offer to be a donor. I am deeply touched. But meanwhile, the priority is to get from my siblings as advised by the doctor as that would be the closest in terms of comatibilty.

I feel disturbed to have to bother my family members as the selected donor will also have to go thruogh much suffering. Not only will he/she have to be hospitalised for the transplant under general anesthesia, it will also take at least a few weeks of his/her precious time to recuperate for a few weeks upon dischrage.

This is the 4th day since my visit to the doctor on monday. So far, I have taken 3 days of the steroids given to me with minimal hiccups this time. Thank God, still bearable. I have tasted worse times than this. Thank God for His strength and grace. Than you for your prayers.

Finally, just to let you know that Josh has memorised Psalm 27:13-14 with me. He is such a jewel. He knows daddy will have a time of devotion with him everyday. As a family, we have held fast to these verses as these were also released to me through a 15-minute prophecy by Rhonda Calhoun, who came to Singapore in April to minister with her husband during a seminar.

Both of them are the directors of Harvest Home, Inc., a ministry to the poor. During a recent quiet time by the Bedok beach few weeks ago, the Lord led me to read Psm 27 as I wanted to seek His face. In the chapter, I learn to just wait instead os wanting instant answers from God for all that I have been going thru since my resignation from FCBC. Someone said my ailment was a curse from God because I left my previous spiritual covering in March 2004. But I am very sure God gave me the liberty to go and had given me the indication to start something afresh as concerned by the prophecy in April. This diagnosis came in Sept 2005 and even in this,I believe God will see me thru. Even in this, I will "see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living". Meanwhile, while I do not yet 'see', I am learning to 'wait upon the Lord; to be strong and to take heart". I find this is one of the hardest things to do in the christian life. We refer instant noodles -everyhting fast and quick. I realized that all these years, few people have taught me to wait upon the Lord. Few have shown me what it means to wait upon God. And when I tried to do that recently by the beach of late, it was so difficult. All I knew was to work and work. Even at the beach, I think of what to do next, especially in reagrd to ministry. Then our Father in heaven had to teach me by not giving me any answers, but to cause me to learn to just wait. And in waiting, I began to experience may things - I learn to Talk and worship Him in spirit and truth; I learn to give Thanks and rejoice in the midst of pain and the people God has blessed me with; I learned to take it easy and above all, to Trust His Sovereighty in all that we as a family are going thru.

I know that we are in the good hands of the Lord. And He has the permission to do all He wants to do. Beacuse He is a good and loving God. He is the potter and I am the clay. Like the word in Jeremiah 19:5-6 says: "Can I not do with you a sthe potter does? declares the Lord. Like clay in the hand of the potter, so you are in my hand, O house of Israel."

With that I'll end. Thanks for 'listening' and for praying with us. That's the most valuable thing we treasure. And your friendship. Through this, we really experince who are the real friends who are with us after all these years. Let's learn to wait patiently upon the Lord to "see the goodness of the Lord" - together and magnify His glorious name!

in Him we live, and have our being,

blessings,

david; whee ling and little josh.

"I am confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait upon the Lord; be strong and take hear; wait upon the Lord".
Psm 27:13-14

Thursday, December 02, 2004

Dear friends,
The first week of the 4th cycle was quite difficult as the hiccups were very bad. It came every 10-15 secs. Besides, it caused me to regurgitate so badly. I am not taking the medicine that stops the hiccups as that in itself causes very severe drowsiness and affects my temperament as well.Largatil is a psychiatric drug that has been used to stop hiccups.

Nevertheless, I am glad to have crossed over another week. Frankly, I drag the first week of every new cycle of chemotherapy. But I always remember that the worst was over when I experienced so much pain then when I was discharged from hospital. Thus, it could have been worse, but this is really nothing compared to that although it is very uncomfortable especially at night. Also, the mind tends to be active and thus more prone to negative and deceptive thoughts where the evil one can come to rob me of my joy in the Lord. Therefore, I would covet your prayers for me. To stay strong in the power of His might.

After the last visit to see Dr. William Hwang at SGH, the haemoglobin results were good. It has gone up to 13.2, which is a good indication that the myeloma cells are responding to the treatment. Although it is NOT indicative that the cancer is in remission, it is a good sign. A bone marrow investigation will be done after the 6th cycle to ascertain the condtion again, after which I will go for the Autologus cell transplant. This is not curative, but it does prolong the life span. I will still need to have the donor-cell transplant where one of my siblings will donate his/her marrow to me. This has a greater risk but more curative in nature.

Well, there are many mixed thoughts and feelings in this whole process. I am grateful to many of you for your prayers and support in so many ways. As I sought the Lord, He gave me Psm 27 as a promise.....

"I am confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait upon the Lord; be strong and take heart, wait upon the Lord." v13-14

Pray for me as I learn to wait upon the Lord.........patiently and eventually see the goodness of the Lord......even in this sickness.

appreciate you,
david.

4th cycle of chemotherapy on 22/11/04

Dear all,

David is due for his next chemo tomorrow. Oh how time flies! It has been almost 3 weeks since my last e-mail.

By God's grace, David has been coping really well with the treatment other than the frequent hiccups during the 1st week of another round of steriods. Hiccups may sound trivial but the discomfort was quite unbearable especially when it occurred almost every minute throughout the night. Please pray that this round the hiccups would be more bearable, or if possible be completely gone.

Another prayer request for Joshua, our son who fell sick since sat afternoon. He had high fever today (39.5) and is now on antibotics to treat his tonsilitis. Pray for better immunity and that we as a family will have unwavering faith in Lord under all circumstances.

I have been very busy at work lately and apologise if I did not find time to respond to each individual e-mail. Thank you for your love and concern and most importantly for your prayers.

Whenever I was anxious, the Lord reminded me that He is my strength and my shield in Psalm 28:7:

"The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.

Yes, His grace is sufficient! May you find comfort and strength in Him too.
The grace of our Lord be with you all.

God bless,
Whee Ling

3rd Cycle of Chemotherapy on 1/11/2004

Hi,

Glad to report that David's blood test on Monday during showed his Haemoglobin level has improved from 10 to 12.2, which is a good sign. Praise the Lord for every encouraging sign. Dr William Hwang explained that the treatment will be altogether 6 courses of chemotherapy, i.e. 3 more to go. The ist was given at Tan Tock Seng Hoospital. At the end of the 6th round, there will be a bone marrow test to determine if David's condition is suitable to harvest his stem cell for the autologus stem cell transplant (from David's own stem cell). If successful, it will prolong his life for up to around 8 years. If there is no stem cell transplant, even though the bone marrow test showed the myeloma cells are in total remission, the chance of the relapse is high and generally the patient's life span will be shorten to around 2 or 3 years. The curative approach is to have a allogenic transplant, i.e. stem cells from a donor (likely from a sibling), which comes with a high risk of up to 50% moratility rate.

Even though this is not the first time I have heard about the options available to treat David, it was still emotionally disturbing. I really need you to believe with me that God will do a miracle act of healing. The Lord reminded me that it will be done according to our faith and it is His desire to heal! It may be a long drawn process, really need the supernatural strength of our Lord who is our tower of refuge (Ps 61).

David's hiccups are back due to the steriods, it is much better now because there is no pain. The rashes on his body are also clearing up. Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray for David. His right pelvis is aching slightly. Pray for strengthening of his bones and against any further bone destruction. Also for protection from infection and good immunity.

Please pray also for Joshua, our dear son, who is now suffering from high fever for the last 2 days. We observed that since David's hospitalization, Joshua has been falling ill. He had high fever during David's hospital stay, had fever again 3 weeks later when David went for his 2nd treatment, now Josh is having fever again. Seems to us it is not merely a coincidence. Even though we do not want to allude everything to spiritual attacks, we covet your prayers for spiritual covering esp over Josh.

Please also pray for me. I have been quite paranoid about maintaining a healthy diet which I fear may be getting on David's nerves. My worries over Josh is also not helping. I was edgy and I guess that did not help David to be positive and keep his spirit up. David reminded me to abandon, surrender and entrust our whole family to the Lord whose love is unconditional and never ending.

Sorry for the long e-mail. Really appreciate your prayers and participation in this spiritaul warfare! We have never felt so blessed and loved by the ever-growing family of God. Do feel free to look up the web-site at http://prayfordavid.blogspot.com and post your prayer requests as well. We want to be praying for you too. We believe our praying together was never about us but it is all for His glory.

Just like to share these verses which to me is a declaration of faith as well as indicative of the purpose of God for us to pray individually and in unison as a body of Christ:

"Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, 10who delivered us from so great a death, and does[1] deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us, 11you also helping together in prayer for us, that thanks may be given by many persons on our[2] behalf for the gift granted to us through many. " 2 Corinthians 1:9-11.

Trusting in Him,
Whee Ling

2nd Cycle of chemotherapy 0n 8/11/2004

Hi all,

It has been awhile since we last updated you.

We want to give thanks to the Lord as there have been no major side effects other than the occasional numbness experienced in his fingers and toes and some itch from rashes that appeared in the last couple of days. Thanks for all your continual prayers. Thanks be to God for His mercy and grace.

He will be going for the next course of chemotherapy on Monday 01Nov. He will be given the steroids again which cause hiccups which lasted at least 4 days in the past. Please pray against any hiccups if possible. Joshua has been praying for the Lord to take away all the myeloma cells in his daddy's body every night when we pray together. I believe the Lord has heard and will answer our prayers in His time.

Thanks for remembering us in your prayers. May the Lord bless and keep you always!

Love in Christ,
Whee Ling and family

P/S: if you have any message for us, you may post it to blog website: http://prayfordavid.blogspot.com or e-mail us.

Thx for praying - 16 Oct 2004

Dear friends and family,
I am overwhelmed - by all the love and concern of God's people. It is like a sabbatical leave for me after 14 years of ministry with FCBC. On the other hand, many discern that it is an attack of the evil one on my life which is permitted by God as God has clearly indicated and given me a mandate to continue to be a shepherd and pastor. This mandate was confirmed thru a prophecy released to me by a very humble and god-fearing lady from Rev. Mike Bickle's church in USA who came to minister here in April after I left FCBC.

My new church in RiverPlace Church and friends like you from all over are praying for me and with me - I am deeply touched! God is so loving - and I feel His love so overflowing thru each of you -near and far. Friends - young and old, all come together regardless of which church - in doesn't matter. There is only one universal church - the church of Jesus Christ. I feel so blessed to have so many people in the kingdom of God pray for me. In 2Cor 1:11, Paul believed his prayer partners and their prayers helped deliver him from persecution and trouble. In the same way, I covet your paryers.

Honestly, I am not fearful of death - for Jesus has triumph victoriously over death Himself. In fact, like Paul said , it is a far better place. But I care about my family - parents; siblings and even my wife and especially little Joshua who kept telling me to see him grow up. But even in this, I am learning to abandon them/esp Josh to God and surrender - for he is only entrusted to me by God to father him for whatever season in my hands.

God is Sovereign. Being warded in Room 8:28 reminded me that God indeed is in charge. I am trusting God to heal and His plan to unfold as He told me that He is NOT finished with me yet. In the hospital, where my bed was, it overlooks a very beautiful scenery where I could see Bukit Timah hill very clearly. Instantly, Psm121 came to my mind and the Holy Spirit brought to remembrance that MY HELP COMES FROM HIM! In other words, He is my helper in this! And I need to look to Him!

Therefore, as you pray for me, pray that I will focus on Him and for His sovereign plan to unfold.....Jer 29:11; Jer 1:5; Jer17:6-7......words that God gave me to know that He is in this whole thing.

Once again, thx to each and all of you. For loving God so much for praying for me......it's a great way to remind me that our God is so good, so faithful and so true.

I shall end here - with love and appreciation,
david ong

Subject: Updates on David & prayers

Dear all,

Things we would like to thank God for:
1. All of you for your love, concern and prayers (those of you who came last Sunday and also those of you who were praying with us wherever you are)
2. Your encouragement and the assurance of your battling alongside with us (someone shared about doing battle with us each morning..."nothing will befall you without passing through the Army of God in prayers and the Lord's permission..")
3. Dr Hwang who was so caring and patient in explaining to us the details of the treatment
4. Pastor Patrick Wong (David's mentor and close brother) and Pastor Adrian and John/close friends who are like "pillars of strength" the Lord has provided for David in such times of need.
5. Rapid development in the area of treatment for myeloma (Dr Hwang, who was also actively involved in research and lab work)
6. God's strength and his watching over us day and night Ps 121 (released by a few).
7. God's protection and healing - I almost fell ill yesterday due to tiredness accumulated over the last few days and after spending almost a day at the hospital but am ok now after a good night rest

Dr Hwang has prescribed Thalidomide therapy for David. So far, he has been responding well to the drugs. However, his hiccups are back due to the steroids which he is also given as part of therapy.

Please pray:
1. against side effects such as hiccups and muscle wasting from the steroids.
2. against possible side effects of Thaildomide such as tingling or numbness in the arms, hands, legs and/or feet, esp cramps, dizziness, constipation, rash and low level of white blood cells.
3. that the Bisphosphonates drug will be effective, providing all the benefits it should such as preventing further bone damage, reducing bone pain, correct and prevent higher than normal levels of calcium in the blood and complete recovery of the bones
4. that David will rest well and the organic food he is taking will strengthen his immune system
5. against low immunity and possible infection (apologies if he cannot be receiving as many visitors as he would like to)
6. God's purpose and will be done.

We believe this season of prayers is not just for our family but for a greater purpose for the furtherance of God's kingdom. Though we do not yet know His higher thoughts and ways, we know it is for the greater blessings for all.
"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us". Romans 8:18.

Blessings and love,
Whee Ling and family

Dear all,

Thank you for perservering in prayers with us. We have decided to go for the chemotherapy at SGH today at 11:50am. This is after much prayers and knowing that God has been guiding us, it seemed best to adopt a two-prong approach - chemo to halt the aggressive myeloma cells while taking organic food to build up David's immunity. Gensis 1:29. For more info about the biblical basis of organic food , please refer to:
http://www.hacres.com/founders.asp

Do continue to pray that David will have no side effects at all from the chemotherapy. Will update later.

God bless,

Dear all,

Thanks for your continual prayers, support and love. We have numerous requests from friends/loved ones who want to visit and pray for David. We have therefore arranaged a time where all who wish to come can meet for a prayer time at The Eden at Tampines poolside function room on 03Oct04 Sunday from 7pm to 8:30pm. May I gently remind those who are physical unwell to refrain from coming. Hope you will understand as David's chemo is scheduled on the 08Oct, we cannot risk having him catch any infection. We appreciate all who are with us in spirit too!

Thanksgiving:
Daivd's ribs do not hurt so much now, he only experienced mild aching in the area. (Two days ago, while praying for his daddy, Joshua specifically asked the Lord to cleanse daddy's bones, join his bones together.. - God is using Josh in a special way). David is also able to sleep better. Thanks for your prayers and intercession.
Yesterday, a very dear Christian brother introduced David to organic diet and even provided the juicer and carrots, barley powder etc to help boost David's immunity, of which we are very grateful. Please pray that these provisions from the Lord will effectively strengthen David's body so he can fight the maglinant myeloma cells. Some of our church brothers are in the process of setting up a blog website for us to provide a communication platform. The purpose is to keep all informed about David and to facilitate prayers and also help keep track of bible verses, words of encouragements released as you pray for us. We will invite you to access the information from the website when ready. I am also aware of many prayer meetings arranged by friends from other churches just to pray for David. God has laid a burden on so many to pray and we are deeply grateful and thankful for every prayer uttered. Surely it is He plans and desire to heal. God is so good! Blessed be His name!

A little testimony from David:
"God has been very good since the day I entered what I call 'room 8:28' at TTSH. From dr to dr, God placed me in very good, gentle hands, including Alan Ng who is the Dr ic of me. He is head of respiratory med in TTSH now.

Room 8:28 - God is very humorous in the way He reminds us of his word. Sounds like Rom 8:28 isn't it? Well, it prepared me days before the findings were out and helped me accept and know that even in this, God is at work and has a plan for my life.

As much as I have accepted it, I worry abt my family....particularly my son, Josh who is 4. He knows I am 'still sick' as he doesn't know what cancer is. But he comforted me a few nights ago by saying that he wants me to see him grow up to have his own family. He wants 10 boys and 10 girls!!!

Thx again for standing us. God is up to something and He seems to tell me that He is not finished with me yet. Therefore, like Paul, tho it is better for me to go where Jesus is, after all, He has walked thru that door in victory, if God has a special assignment for me in this, Then I want to live to fulfill His purposes for me by sharing in His suffering - and glory to come!"

Rejoicing in the Lord,
Whee Ling & family

Dear people of the living God,

A dear sister from FCBC, PG, felt led to pray Psalm 18 for David today. We are praying God's word over him, do join us to claim God's promises. The Lord is our strength and deliverer! Surely we will praise Him among the nations and sing praises to His name!

Love in Christ,

Subject: Updates on David

Dear all,
We are really touched and moved by all of you and many others (please convey our thanks to those not on my address book) for your prayers support and offer of help. Your standing by us during such difficult times enable us to remember our Lord's unfailing lovingkindess.

God has indeed been very good in helping us get the necessary medical attention for David. Please continue to pray for David as he is still experiencing pain from his fractured ribs. Doctor said the bones will take months to be completely healed but let us pray that it be really soon cause any cough or hiccup could cause him excruitiating pain. The pain has made it quite difficult for him to rest and always keep his spirit high. Praying that his pain be gone, in Jesus name! Pray also for him to be able to sleep well. He had not been able to sleep eversince he was back from the hospital.

I have taken the liberty to cut and paste brother Peter Loh's e-mail so I do not need to re-type some of these prayer requests.

Answered prayers. David's pain has subsided and he is feeling a lot better now. The water retention which has caused his legs to be swollen has also improved. He is now resting at home.

David is under the care of Dr William Hwang in SGH. They are now strengthening his body to prepare for the chemo therapy which has been scheduled on 8 October 04.

Areas for prayer:

1. Pray for the family's spiritual walk with God and that their faith will be strengthened

2. Pray that David's parents will not be too worried and continue to trust God.

3. Pray that David's body will be strengthened and be ready for the chemo therapy. Specifically for the bones to be strong enough to go through the treatment.

4. Pray also that there will be no complication during the treatment.

5. Pray that Dr William Hwang will be able to respond to David's condition and administer the proper treatment.

Please commit our brother David to God and ask Him for His healing hand to be on David. And the angels to protect him and his family.

Please pray for the Lord's protection over our son Joshua and also over all His prayer warriors and their loved ones.
May the Lord continue to refresh all of you as you refresh us. God bless!

Gratefully yours,
Whee Ling

Dear Brothers and Sisters-in-Christ,

David has been diagnosed to have multiple myeloma, a cancer of a certain type of white blood cell called the plasma cell. His condition is at stage 3 of the disease and we are seeking what is the best treatment right now. There is currently no known cure as yet and certain treatments have risk involved. We are believing the Lord for a miracle, that he be completely healed, if possible, very soon. What the evil one has meant for harm, the Lord can turn it to good! Please continue to pray for and with us.

Many of you and many others not in my contact list are praying for us - of which my family and I are very grateful. One of the things which we believe the Lord wants us to do is to rely on Him for healing and deliverance through our prayers - the prayers of His people.

Join us as we cry out to the Lord to have mercy on David. If the Lord will, that he be healed instantly. And if the Lord wants us to go thru this trial before the victory to come, then strength, patience and hope, an a undeniable sense of His Holy presence and Hand upon every situation.

As my God-sent assistant and dear sister-in-Christ (who also got some Christian colleagues to pray for us daily) puts it:

"As all of you know that God wants us to be specific in our prayers, hence, these are the updates so that you will not be wondering what to pray for:

David is seeking consultation from another doctor - Dr Patrick Tan. And also due to the lack of facility in TTSH, he needs to transfer from TTSH to another hospital.
Dr Patrick Tan, who is also a Christian, was highly recommended by our doctor friends as he is the expert in treating myeloma. He has recently come out from SGH to private practice. Hence, he might be attached to Mt E. Not too sure if they could seek treatment from SGH with him as their specialist. We are checking out if he can treat David by being a visiting consultant of SGH. Meeting him tomorrow, pray for God's favour.
David has to go through stem cell transplant from his own bone marrow and 4 chemo.
His family members are going through test to see if any of their bone marrows could match.
Please pray for:

David could be transferred to SGH. This would be more financially affordable, and also things would be more transparent in government hospitals.
The transplant could be successful.
David is mentally prepared and physically strong enough to handle the side-effects from chemo
Joshua could be understanding, obedient and in pink health
Whee Ling could be blessed with unbelievable strength in physical, emotional, psychological and mental expect.
PATIENCE.... God has His own timing, so help us to wait and not rush Him
Financial burden will be the last thing that Whee Ling will need to be bothered about. God will PROVIDE in His own ways.
They can find a suitable bone marrow donor.
When the bone marrow from a suitable donor is transplanted to him, it will work 101% fine in him.
PEACE ... So that they can HEAR God and be assured and comforted.
TRUST .... In God that they will eventually see LIGHT in the end of the tunnel. In God on work related stuff. In God for all the doubts and worries.
Thanks and may God give us strength and victory as we glorify His name in every circumstance.

In Christ alone I put my trust!
Whee Ling

Subject: FW: David : urgent hospitalisation

Dear friends,

Please pray for David my husband who is in the hospital now. We still do not know the cause of his pain/problem. Sometimes I feel shy to request for prayers and I believe many of us too. Howevcer, I am encouraged by my son, Joshua who had requested his teacher and his whole class to pray for his daddy yesterday. It dawn upon me the request to pray is simply a humble act, to acknowledge that we need the Lord. Yes, please pray with us that David be completely healed. By faith, we give thanks and glory to our Heavenly Father even now! Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow.

Thanks & God bless,
Whee Ling
P/S: I may have left out some names, please feel free to forward to friends whom you think will pray with us. Thanks!

David is at ward 8A room 8, bed 28. Thanks for praying!

Yes, please pray that it is not something serious. His doctor said he would be admitted for about 3 days to do a thorough bone imaging and CT of the whole body. Thank God his lungs are cleared. Pray that the right treatment would be given when the cause is determined. There are about 15 to 20 known causes and right now they can't tell.

We are trusting the Lord for complete healing, claiming on His promises and believing we have the victory in Christ!

God bless,
Whee Ling

Hi

David called me this morning and shared that he will be in Tan Tock Seng Hospital for a few days for a thorough check up. It seems he has been experiencing muscle and back aches lately and a recent x-ray showed that he has several broken ribs and high calcium content in his blood. This is unusual as there were no previous history. Thank God that
through His divine intervention, David's doctor turned out to be a Sunday School friend whom he has not met for years .. pray for the Dr Allan Ng to be thorough and wise in his diagnosis as well.

Please pray for David and family as they trust God to see them through this .. try and reassure our parents as well.

It is in times like this that we will need to unite and go on our knees to seek God's will and wisdom.

Love
Angie
